Solar Option Two Pricing
Radiantec’s Solar Option II is a combination of Radiantec’s “Open Direct” heating system and a solar energy supplement. The “Open Direct” system uses the building’s domestic hot water heater to make heat instead of a boiler of furnace.

Solar Option II is attractive because it is a more complete energy system that includes back up space heating and even some limited free cooling. The solar collection efficiency is very good but it does not quite match that of the Solar Option I because of the indirect production of underfloor radiant heat.

ROOT ZONE HEATING FOR GARDENS
This is an attractive option for gardeners. The growing season can be extended by 3-4 weeks in the Spring and 2-3 weeks in the Fall. Warmer earth temperatures result in greater productivity.

Plan for about $1/ft2 for the slab materials.
