Heating tubes for underfloor radiant heating are added in parallel to the domestic hot water heat exchanger. Ordinarily, a concrete slab with compacted gravel beneath will serve as the solar energy storage. The great strength of the Solar Option One System is its efficiency (as defined by the net amount of solar energy that is harvested).

Radiantec’s Solar Option I system combines solar domestic hot water production with the direct production of underfloor radiant heating. This direct production of underfloor radiant heat results in the highest possible solar collector efficiency because it enables the lowest possible solar collector temperatures.
